Most forms of 2FA involve sending a one-time password (OTP) to a user’s device through SMS, WhatsApp, phone call, or email. 2FA is a powerful line of defense to protect both the business and user against fraud attacks. If hackers gain access to a user’s password, 2FA prevents them from logging into their account or joining a video conference.
